At the piano since the age of five

Oleksandr Alikhanoff is a pianist, composer, arranger and music educator. He first sat down at the piano at the age of five. Since then came ten years of music school, four years of professional training, and first prizes and Grand Prix awards at competitions. The stage remains an important part of his life today.

He performs in solo recitals, with orchestra, in chamber programs and as a duo. A special place in his repertoire belongs to the music of Frédéric Chopin, whose depth, drama and subtlety of feeling are close to him. Alongside classical and contemporary music, his programs include film melodies, his own compositions and arrangements.

Oleksandr works as a musician and teacher in Dortmund and the surrounding area: he performs, writes music and helps students, especially children, find their own way to the instrument.
